About BBI Professional Services

Empowering Small Businesses, Shaping Equitable Futures

Founded in 2015, BBI Professional Services began as the Black Business Initiative (BBI), a boot camp designed to help novice Black entrepreneurs launch their businesses. Since then, we have evolved into a global consulting firm dedicated to empowering small businesses and their leaders to thrive. Our journey from grassroots support to a global presence has been driven by our commitment to creating institutions of change and championing economic equity.

Our transformation was catalyzed by a docuseries exposing the economic challenges faced by Black Americans. This revelation spurred our Founder and Chief Visionary Officer, Jice Johnson, to address the systemic wealth inequality affecting Black families. Recognizing that traditional workshops and training alone were not enough, Jice developed a comprehensive five-pillar approach—Acumen, Mentorship, Capital, Patronage, and Policy. This strategy was designed to foster holistic financial outcomes and create lasting impact.

At BBI Professional Services, we are dedicated to forging strategic partnerships and collaborations that elevate personal, professional, and business outcomes. We provide tailored services that build resilience, expand knowledge, and secure resources, helping our clients shape a more equitable future for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Our mission is to drive sustainable success through:

  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with governments, financial institutions, and community organizations to enhance support and foster entrepreneurship.

  • Tailored Services: Offering technical assistance, capacity-building programs, and ecosystem development that address the unique needs of our clients.

  • Empowerment and Equity: Committed to cultivating vibrant spaces and working collaboratively to create equitable opportunities and drive meaningful change.

Through our initiatives and partnerships, we have impacted thousands of entrepreneurs nationwide, striving to build a prosperous and inclusive future for all. Join us in our mission to empower small businesses and make a difference in the global community.
